 Located within St. Lawrence Gap Condos, an intimate, 17-unit resort, Oceana boasts a seafront balcony with views that stretch endlessly in either direction. Here, on the southern shore of Barbados, the Atlantic and Caribbean merge, creating ribbons of rich blue and turquoise water churned by Atlantic waves. It’s really something to see. Take your front row seat on the balcony, and be sure to snap some photos to look back on in the thick of wintertime! These sea views anchor the open-concept living area at Oceana, which includes a sleek kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a 6-person dining table, and a lovely sitting area with a flat-screen TV. Settle in for a shared after-dinner bottle of wine or a cozy movie night with the sea glittering in the moonlight. 

The two-level layout at Oceana means you can enjoy each other’s company for as long as you want, then escape for alone time when you need it. On the lower level, the master bedroom (with a king-sized bed), opens directly to its own patio which leads to the private beach and sparkling swimming pool. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the third optional bedroom provides two twin beds. Don’t miss a wonderful feature at this complex: a private jetty stretching its long arm into the sea. There are only a dozen such jetties on Barbados, and this is the only PRIVATE jetty. The secret space the jetty provides is a lovely setting for sunbathing, sunset-watching—even the occasional wedding! Because only guests and residents can access it, you’ll often have it all to yourself for a moment of quiet contemplation.

St. Lawrence Gap / Oistins , Christ Church , Barbados


The south coast of Barbados is known for its beautiful white beaches, the famous Oistins Fish Fry on Friday nights, and its friendly vibe where you'll find locals (called Bajans) and tourists alike.

The St. Lawrence Gap ("gap" means "street") is the area on the south coast that is a favorite destination for both locals and tourists. Lots of quaint small businesses, delicious restaurants, colorful shops, and more—all within walking distance of your condo. A car is not necessary; a taxi to and from the airport is likely all you’ll need.

Known as "The Jewel of the Caribbean," Barbados has more repeat visitors than any of the Caribbean islands and, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO), 34% of all arrivals to Barbados are repeat visitors. It's easy to see why: The climate averages ideal temperatures in the winter of 75-82 degrees Fahrenheit and in summer a warmer but still lovely 88-92. Gentle trade-winds from the sea keep us cool and we rarely turn on the air-conditioning, although it's available throughout our unit. People are friendly, the sea is crystal clear, and the rum fantastic.

Beautiful condo!!!

We just came back from this beautiful island; people friendly and food was excellent. The condo was immaculate and well-kept, service great, and our hostess, Jane, wonderful. She gave us great info as to what to do/where to go. Condo is situated right in the Gap with lots of restaurants and nightlife. Cropover carnival events were great if you want action. But be careful with the rum punch! We will going back in the future and bringing more friends. Plantation Restaurant is a must do.

We could not have more good things to say about the facility, the management and the location. Everything was as advertised or better! The private beach was great for our kids. The condo was clean and well appointed. Being close to restaurants was a bonus. We will definitely be going back.

What can I say….. There is not one negative I can say, from the minute I booked the apartment it was a premium service till the end of our stay. I have rented a lot of accommodation especially in Barbados but I have never stayed in a more spectacular property, it’s outstanding. Jane is absolutely wonderful; nothing is too much for her she is always at the end of an email to ensure your stay is impeccable. The amenities on offer with this property is most certainly a home from home (if not better?). You know some times you see pictures of a property and when you arrive you know they were taken 10 years ago because it doesn’t live up too them. Well this property’s pictures do not live up to the real life experience, as you enter the apartment you are amazed by the breath taking view and it gets better as you move around the apartment. You are centrally located and a car is not essential, you have everything at your finger tips and if something is out of reach you can bet that one of the staff at the apartments will be more than happy to help get what you need. Absolutely incredible worth every penny!!!! Lisa ?

Hotel Luxury with Getaway Charm & Comfort

First and foremost this was my second time staying at the St. Lawrence Beach Condos; once again the stay was extremely fantastic and pleasant. Let me start by addressing that you are first introduced to the condominium when you contact Jane Shattuck through her email. The level of professionalism and warmth to help assist is quite outstanding. She is sure to work with her clients and is always available with such proficiency and quickness that it made booking the stay effortless. Her helpfulness,patience and kindness let me know I was going in the right direction in booking my stay last year and this year. This year I rented Apartment 1 Oceana and Apartment 3 Paradise Island. Both accommodations were exquisite. They are a 2 floor unit, the bottom hosting access to the pool with a king bedroom. I personally love the feel of getting away from my apartment mates and going to my downstairs cove. The apartments are modernly furnished and equipped with all your needs (dishwasher, wash/dryer, tea maker, etc). Towels and beddings as well as pool towels are fresh and servicing of the rooms come every 3rd day. The pool is beautiful and kept clean at all times. We have spent countless hours just wading and sleeping (lol some friends of mine in the pool others out). When we reached both years we were greeted by Bldg support Ricardo who is an absolute GEM!!! I don't know what I would've done without him especially this year. He is sweet, welcoming and such a help. He makes the stay incredible and secure. The establishment is safe as well as only yourself and your guests have the access code. After settling in you are left to your own accord unless you need assistance. The location of the property is also a plus. It is right at the beginning of "The Gap" and close to pretty much what the BIM Cropover Carnival Experience is required. Food, market, clubs, lounges, beach, taxi service all up for grabs at this prominent location. In a honesty I can't see myself coming to Barbados and not contacting Jane first for my accommodations. Her service, the staff and the beauty of the property each alone sell the stay. I truly am glad I found this piece of heaven.

Wonderful property in a great location

We spent a week at the Oceana condo in the St. Lawrence Beach condos form 2/14 to 2/21. We are a family of four - two adults and two seventeen year old boys, and had a two bedroom apartment, with the option for a third lock-off room which we did not take. From the time we began to ask for information, through arrival, things went smoothly. The apartment opens from the hallway into the kitchen area to the left, and the dining room/ living room area straight ahead. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, though if we had been more than four people we might have needed additional dishes. And there were not too many pans - we used two small ones when making pancakes one morning. The dining room table shares space with the living room. The condo is bright and comfortable. The living room area sits (I believe) four comfortably. A very nice feature is the sliding glass door between the living room and the porch, which faces the ocean. Two of the three panels of glass slide to the side, so that it almost feels like the living room is outside. There was a bedroom upstairs with a queen, I believe, and we requested cot in for the boys. There was also a bathroom upstairs. Everything seemed to be in nice condition. The downstairs bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with a canopy (and if memory serves, sheers around the canopy). The room is large with a minifridge, and plenty of closet space. The downstairs opens onto a small patio area that borders the pool area. The bedroom has a lovely bathroom en suite - shower, separate tub and double sink. There were no bugs. There is some loud music at night from nearby clubs, but mostly what you hear or feel is the vibration of the bass for a while late at night. The pool is about four to five feet deep, and was always a comfortable temperature. It was clean, and there were enough lounge chairs around the pool to find a spot in the shade under an umbrella each day. (There are a small number of units in this condo.) The property has its own small beach. There were waves each day, but the ocean was warm and the water was lovely. There is also a small pier. The property is a five minute walk from a nearby beach where you can swim with sea turtles, and on a street (St. Lawrence Gap) on which there are numerous restaurants and some small convenience stores. We were comfortable letting the boys walk around and explore in the evening. The adults and boys had a great time.
